AlmaLaurea as keynote speaker at Conference “Connecting Higher Education with Labour Market: Building the Future-Ready Workforce”, Nicosia, Cyprus

From 9 to 10 May 2024, AlmaLaurea Interuniversity Consortium has been invited by the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth as keynote speaker at the Conference “Connecting Higher Education with Labour Market: Building the Future-Ready Workforce” organized by the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth of Cyprus in collaboration with PwC Cyprus.

The conference took place in the context of the project of the Department of Higher Education in the Cyprus Recovery and Resilience Plan entitled “Development of a National Graduate Tracking Mechanism and Design and Implementation of an Employers’ Skills Survey”. The project was designed to respond to recommendations made in the context of several European policy reports regarding the existence of skills mismatches between the Cyprus education system and the labour market.

AlmaLaurea, as keynote speaker, delivered the presentation “Models for assessing quality in HE sector, graduates employability and innovation in curricula profiles”. The Conference was addressed to policymakers by the public and semi-governmental sector, to representatives of Higher Education Institutions as well as to employers’ representatives.

The Conference opening speech was delivered by Dr. Athena Michailidou, Minister of Education, Sport and Youth.
